RunThrough: Inspiring Active Nations Through Running

I really enjoy my day job, where I meet fascinating people and visit their inviting homes. In my free time, I like to support local RunThrough events, lively gatherings that encourage health, fitness, and camaraderie.

My role often includes dressing as their mascot, Ronnie the Roadrunner, to engage with runners and create an uplifting atmosphere. This involvement allows me to connect participants, sharing laughs and motivation as they push their limits. Witnessing their determination is incredibly rewarding. These events also help me stay active and inspired, while contributing positively to the community by fostering health and shared experiences.

RunThrough is one of the UK's largest and most prominent running event organisers, having been established in the year 2013 by a dynamic duo of former international runners, Matt Wood and Ben Green. Since its inception, RunThrough has rapidly grown to host an impressive array of over 300 races annually across various locations in the UK. These events cater to a wide spectrum of participants, offering races that range from short and accessible 5K runs to the more demanding full marathons. In addition to traditional road races, RunThrough also embraces the diversity of the running community by organizing trail runs that take participants through scenic landscapes, triathlons that test both running and swimming skills, and ultra-distance events that challenge even the most seasoned athletes. Furthermore, RunThrough introduces unique experiences such as the RunThrough Relay, a team-based event that features a 3x5K relay format.
